As of 2017, 96% of general medicine and surgical hospitals possess certified health information technology. This is the highest rate among all hospital groups. Approximately 9 in 10 rehabilitation and children's hospitals possess certified health IT, while 3 in 5 long term care and half of psychiatric hospitals possess this technology.
